A JOURNEY INSPIRED BY PURPOSE
My years at Phinda Private Game Reserve with &Beyond were both a dream realised and a journey of learning. Equipping me with insights into sustainable tourism, I witnessed firsthand how community involvement can drive impactful conservation efforts, fostering a balance where both nature and people thrive. These experiences ignited my desire to bring that same ethos back to Zambia—to create something unique that merges luxury tourism with a heartfelt commitment to conservation and community.
This vision has come to life through the establishment of The Ultra Portfolio.

We believe in creating a lasting positive impact on the wilderness, wildlife, and people that make Zambia the remarkable destination it is. Our passion for conservation drives us to protect natural landscapes and biodiversity while engaging local communities in sustainable change.
Through our partnership with Lessons in Conservation (LiC), we aim to educate children from underprivileged communities about ecology and conservation. Hands-on experiences inspire young ambassadors to appreciate and protect the environment. Guests can also participate in these efforts through guided nature walks, birdwatching, and visits to Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park to witness conservation education in action.
Inspired by David Suzuki’s words, we recognize that reconnecting children with nature is key to its preservation. While we are starting small, our vision is bold—thriving ecosystems, empowered communities, and a future where people and nature coexist in harmony. By working with local stakeholders, we aim to safeguard biodiversity, promote social equity, and inspire the next generation of environmental leaders.
OUR FOCUS AREAS
CONSERVATION
We actively engage in regular snare sweeps, repurposing the snare wire into unique bangles and keyrings, supporting wildlife preservation efforts within the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park and surrounding areas.

We empower future environmental leaders by educating children in rural communities, fostering a deep understanding and passion for conservation.
OUR CONSERVATION PARTNERS
Lessons in Conservation are a youth-led organisation, striving to leave our natural world in a better place than we found it. As a group of young people, bound together by a common love for children and wildlife, they are taking responsibility for their future.
By exposing children to the beauty that remains within the landscapes of this beautiful continent, we hope to be creating young ambassadors, who will defend their heritage long into the future
